Ingredients
cooking oil spray
2 lean beef sausages
30cm pizza base
¼ cup barbecue sauce
1 small red onion, halved, thinly sliced
50g rindless bacon, chopped
a few pancetta slices, roughly chopped
½ small tomato, chopped and deseeded
½ cup grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Method
- Prepare and prove pizza dough as recipe directs.
- Meanwhile spray a large frying pan with oil. Heat over medium heat. Cook sausages, turning occasionally, for 10 to 12 minutes or until cooked through. Allow to cool. Thinly slice.
- Preheat oven to 220⁰C. Shape dough on oiled trays as desired. Spoon/spread BBQ sauce evenly over pizza base. Bake for 10 minutes or until bases are light golden.
- Top pizza bases with remaining ingredients and bake for a further 15 minutes or until ingredients are cooked through and crust is crispy and golden.
- Cut into wedges. Serve hot.
